Local Family Support and Events
Supporting Communities in the Killarney Area
We work with KASI (Killarney Immigrant Support Centre) supporting the asylum seekers in the Killarney area.
We helped the locally based Ukraine refugees to source and fix their bicycles and we have invited them to the Shed.
Other community Services we have provided include:
- Flower planters for the nursing homes in Killarney and Killorglin
- Planters for Killarney Town Council
- Renovated benches for OPW at Killarney House
- Sourced raw material ( wood ) from local industry and National Park
- In 2017 – 2019, 60 volunteers from other Mens’ Sheds throughout Ireland gathered in Killarney helping to control the spread of Rhododendron in Killarney National Park.
